About Maggie
Hello, I am Maggie McCecil (formerly McGinnis), owner of Imagine Peace Massage. I became a licensed massage therapist in 2007 after graduating from Body Wisdom Massage Therapy School. Over the years, I have worked for Heartland Chiropractic, The Livewell Clinic, and East Village Spa. My private practice moved to Harmony Yoga + Wellness in 2012, and I am the office manager at Willowsong Midwifery Care.
My goal is to help my clients function better and live healthier lives. I believe that health can be attained through wellness of the body, mind and spirit. Whether you have an active lifestyle or sit at a desk, your body is put through a lot daily. I build my massage therapy sessions around each client's needs and work with women and men of all ages. I can help you with focused deep tissue work, injury recovery and pain relief or just let you de-stress, relax your mind and renew your spirit. I also have a passion for working with women throughout pregnancy with massage therapy, prenatal education and doula/labor support. I plan to begin offering BirthWorks Childbirth Education classes in 2013.
I love music, my kitties, and living in Des Moines with my husband John. We have a gluten free kitchen, so feel free to ask for recipes!
